Run by Writing West Midlands, a UK-based  literature development agency for the West Midlands region of England that supports creative writers and creative writing in the region, The Writers’ Toolkit’ is an annual writer networking day. The day is aimed at emerging and established writers, rather than those who are just starting out/ aspiring writers. This year The Writers’ Toolkit will be on Saturday 17th November, 2012 at South Birmingham College (main Digbeth campus). A packed programme will include sixteen discussion sessions and key note presentations from individuals and organisations across the writing industry. For the full programme click here.

As a panelist on one of the (16) discussion strands throughout the day, namely ‘Self Publishing and Self Promotion’, I am interested in understanding what emerging/established writers most want to know. Can you help me please? What questions do you have? What would you most like to know about? What advice would you value? I want to focus on key needs/concerns and will post a blog later on my website pulling together the main elements of the discussion for the benefit of writers unable to attend. Your questions/comments/experiences (good and bad!) in this discussion thread would be much appreciated. We can all learn from each other.

Thank you.
